Dr. Carlos E. Trigo joins El Paso Pain Center after recently completing a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Trigo graduated Cum Laude from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He then completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas, TX where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Trigo is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Trigo also completed a Simulation Based Medical Education Fellowship of UT Southwestern School of Medicine. He received the Dr. Kurt C. Kleinschmidt Clinical Excellence and Professionalism Award, and the John M. Geesbreght Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Senior Resident.
Dr. Trigo is a member of Southern Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, North America Neuromodulation Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
