Drug Take-Back Day is 4/24!

Let’s work together and prevent RX drug misuse: talk to your provider about safe medication disposal.

DEA Drug Take Back Day

We encourage our patients to take part in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take Back Day events, provide the opportunity to dispose of unused medications safely, helping prevent misuse, addiction and overdose deaths.

Many people don’t realize that leftover medications in the home can create easy access for misuse by family and friends. According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.9 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. Prescription pain relievers were misused the most, by 9.7 million people.
